No, actually such captives were given 30 days to mourn, then could be taken as a wife. If it didn't work out, the woman had to be freed.

So when you say "doesn't work out" you mean "doesn't work out for the guy." NOTHING in there gives the woman a choice in the marriage - both in its inception and its continuance. But thanks for playing.
