My problem with Apple is it's a freaking annoying company.

My son runs a computer program in a school district.  He was annoyed some years back when they switched from PC to Apple and delighted some years later when he convinced them to switch back.

For himself (and me), he builds PCs through Ibuypower.  I admit that I was skeptical of the water cooled feature but I have to admit that 6 years later it works perfectly and I get cool air blowing out of the case.

Water coolers are an absolute must, especially, for over-clocking.  You can download the free Core Temp monitor to perform a graceful shutdown if things get too hot:
