My husband started to read the God Delusion and said it was trash.
Quote:He said that first he was put off by the author's condescending/hostile tone but decided to ignore it and just focus on his argument. He said something about how the author made a whole argument around Einstein being an atheist, which he couldn't take seriously considering Einstein specifically said "I am not an atheist." He also said the author had a poor understanding of Christianity and of Equinas, basically making some of his arguments strawmen. He said the whole thing with "the Brights" came off as silly and conceited.

Aquinas doesn’t get a mention until chapter three and the the Brights don't show up till chapter nine. And as for Dawkins making a whole argument around Einstein being an atheist? I never read that.
Are you sure he read the thing or did he read an apologists review?
Because this> "condescending/hostile tone" Is typical apologist lies.
Dawkins is unfailingly civil and polite. In his books anyway.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.
