As far as I'm concerned, the objection raised by the argument from silence is unanswerable (pun intended). There is literally zero excuse for a god who gives a fuck about humanity to not come down here and clear up all the bullshit that has caused so many schisms in established religions all over the world and throughout history. The people are largely willing to obey, they just have an absolute shit instruction book. No divine author would make something less than concretely clear and if it happened to be misinterpreted by anyone, it would be trivially easy to personally and unmistakably rectify that miscommunication. Un. Fucking. Answerable. There is zero excuse for this failing. Either a deist or malevolent trickster god who doesn't give a shit about us or enjoys watching us suffer, or there is no god at all. There is no room for a benevolent god in this equation.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
