I've just never understood the impetus behind shooting the messenger, lol. The irony in the RCC's crisis of faith, at present, is that they themselves created it and now can't find a way to contain it.

I suspect that the infallible decrees of popes and the catechism of the catholic church are more authoritative than eithewr of us, but you be you, CL - don't mistake my comments for a criticism of your incredulity when it comes to your own churches doctrine.
I don't believe in it either. In any case, being a religious practitioner doesn't really suggest that a person knows much about their own religion. The RCC laments this in their flock constantly, but, at the same time..as we've seen, they positively depend upon it as well. Otherwise, how could they float the "it's okay to believe in evolution" PR campaign, eh?
