I agree with SC's take on the whole thing. At the end of the day, it's all about the NFL's bottom line - money.
I don't know if this was covered in the national media but the local news reported after the presidential election in November that Kaepernick doesn't vote. Seems strange that he would take a public stand (or kneel) but not bother to vote.
