It's so horrific. The only kind of "carelessness" involved there is the fact that they're so inhumane in their lack of caring for a living breathing being that it's practically inhuman. Sickening.
One of the most depressing things about the world we live in is the fact that that sort of behavior is very inhumane but NOT inhuman. I can't understand how such disgusting behavior can be human for some humans
I guess being human doesn't necessarily mean having even a most basic moral compass or degree of empathy 
It's stuff like that that makes me misanthropic in general. Sometimes you really have to look hard to see the decent and kind and caring people around, when there's so many tides of awful people to wade through.
