Yes, this is basically about how the "Planet of the Apes" became what it was. However, the story has already been told in a completely different way. The reasons for the revolt, characters and everything are different from the way the revolt was described in the original films.
I'm tempted to ask well what's the point? But if it is a different take on how it all started then that's interesting and I look forward to it.
