Haha that sounds interesting. I wish kids had lawyers for shit like that. I'd totally get into kid law.

I'm sorry, Duster. We tried our best, and it wasn't enough.
Sounds like you have endured a loss. Sorry to hear. Is Duster a hamster by chance?
Either way sorry for your loss.

I have always said that if I ever had kids I'd rather adopt than have my own. My brother independently came to the same decision for the same reasons! Great minds think alike.
The theory is that there are already enough people in the world and there's no need to create another person. However, there are orphan children out there who need good parents. And if I'm a good parent and I adopt them I make sure they don't go to a bad parent, too.
If I had a kid: I would 100% adopt. But I'm unlikely to have a kid as until I can consistently take better care of myself responsibly... I'm certainly not going to take care of a living breathing being until I can take better care of myself. I'm not even willing to get a bet yet. And I'd rather be no parent than a bad parent.
Maybe one day I will adopt. Maybe![]()
Of course if I ever met my dream woman and we fell in love and had an amazing sex and fantastic times together and we got along incredibly for years and it never developed into petty arguments.... I don't have a thing for marriage but when the ideal happens I wouldn't say no to marriage. And I might suddenly find myself wanting to create a child with my ideal partner. Even if there is 'no need to'.
But there's probably about as much chance of me meeting my dream girl as there is of Trump sending a Tweet that leads to world peace.
Not true! I truly think there's a girl out there for you, Hammy! With all my heart.

Don't give up looking. She needs you as much as you may need her.

It sounds.. terrifying sometimes! She went and had a sleep study, it's a surprise she's alive. It certainly gave her a horrific heart attack not long ago.. When she sleeps without her machine I get scared. When she stops breathing I sit there and realize im holding my breath too-- until I hear her breathe snort again. Maybe.. maybe if you're snoring you should get that checked out. Or get a breathe right strip? Might help you breathe better, depends on what's causing the backup! Can you fall asleep at the drop of a hat? No Bueno. With family history I'd be waking you up constantly were I your daughter.
If my snoring is too loud than just turn the bloody TV up.

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
