The geology of uplift in the Andes is interesting and geological views about it have shifted.
If any of these changes had overturned modern science it would be screamed from the rooftops.
Others have already explained why this is not the case.
No evidence for a global flood there either, and no particularly strange results, other than then Andes formed faster than is geologically common.
