What are you a fangirl/fanboy of?

RE: What are you a fangirl/fanboy of?
Stephen King.  But that's kind of a love hate relationship.  It makes me so fucking angry sometimes because I think he's the best at writing stories but the best at ruining an ending.  Imagine a girl who's the best girl you've ever made love to ever, by far, but she always shits the bed at the end.  That's the feeling I get a lot of the time with Stephen King.

Freddy Kruger.  He's better than Jason, Michael Myers and those other slashers.  He has violent swagger.  In an interview, the actor (Robert Englund) said he based some of the body language of Freddy on James Cagney and on the way catwalk models walk. Love the films since I was 9, still love the atmosphere of the films now.

The Texas Chainsaw massacre. I like the idea of crazy families who live in desolate areas.  In England we don't really have desolate areas like you do in America maybe that's why I'm fascinated by them.  I just like the whole atmosphere of the first film and even though some of the films are fucking horrible I think I've watched them all.  Even the horrible one's have some novelty value.

Metal Gear Solid.  I haven't played all the games but I played the first and the 5th and loved both of those, I had the most recent one until I sold my playstation.  I have some of the soundtracks on my phone, the song that's sang in Gaelic still gives me goosebumps. In the 5th game they did flashback scenes to the first game and I actually got really emotional because it took me back ten years to playing the first game in secondary school.

The following is a short list of people who for some reason I can listen to them talk about anything for hours, or the same thing over and over, and not really get bored.
Karl Pilkington, Joe Rogan, Opie and Antony, Ricky Gervais and Steve Merchant.
It's a weird thing with Joe Rogan for example, he has friends on his podcast and they have their own podcast.  So I think I'll enjoy their podcasts because they're funny on the Joe Rogan experience but then when I listen to theirs it's just not good enough.

Buckethead, the guitarist.  Although in a similar way to Stephen King I think he really has put out some shit music too. But he's ridiculously tall and looks weird. He seems to be all about the texas chainsaw massacre, and his guitar solos are fucking amazing, so all in all it was like he was basically created for me to like. His song titles even involve other things I like such as Mortal Kombat.

X men.  I admittedly don't know as much as some geeks do about the series, there's a guy in work who really put me to shame with his X men knowledge, but I have really loved every X men film without exception. Magneto being my favourite character.  But I don't like the wolverine films though, I should add that.
It's kind of weird because I pretty much hate every other type of super hero film.  The avengers is shit, batman is pretty boring, same with spiderman.

Mike Tyson. He likes X men. He's been a guest on Opie and Antony. I've read his auto biography twice. Just an extreme person, with amazing genetics and amazing stories to tell, even if he probably was a horrible psycho in his youth.

Irvine Welsh.  I've loved every book I've read of his, and I think I've read about 4 or 5 of his stories.  With how picky I am about stories 5 out of 5 is an amazing score for me. I've read trainspotting and the sequal and prequal and some of acid house and seen all those in movie form too.

I'm a bit weird when it comes to some computer games, because even though I haven't played some games like Tekken for ages, and Mortal Kombat for even longer, I love looking at videos on youtube of other people playing the games, lists of new characters and stuff like that.  Even though I sold my playstation and I'll never play these games myself.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.
