Perfection is stagnation. There is nowhere to go from perfection. Endless boredom, as Miss Aerzia might say, as even boredom would be perfect.
Were I to have godlike powers, I would not want to make a creation which was "perfect," it would be stuck in a endless rut, just like the perfect deity is now. I would want them to strive and achieve and learn and grow endlessly (hey, that's what science tries to do; the only perfection is there is always a perfectly endless supply of things to learn).
Moreover, if I were a "perfect" godlike deity, I would probably use my powers to make myself imperfect. I don't want to stagnate either.
