You know what I've always wondered. Were they just looking to sweep that one under the rug, or was somebody in a silly hat holding out hope that future discovery would prove galileo wrong...and prove magic book right? They "investigated" the case for what... a decade back in the 80's...lol? Ridiculous. Seems like they could have concluded that case in about ten seconds tops. Makes you wonder whether they were searching for a technicality to say, in the 90's..... "Yeah, fuck that guy anyway, maybe he didn't rape the girl but we're pretty sure he ran a stoplight".
