RE: How Do You Perceive Death?

This quote by Christopher Hitchens sums up my view of death nicely, "We'll all [be told] 'the party's over'. Worse, 'the party is going on, but you have to leave'".
Maybe if my lifespan was say a million, even a billion of trillion years I would think differently. However I am likely going to live for a lot less than even a thousand years. It is no surprise why we humans seem to have a inbuilt belief in an afterlife, in-spite of the scientific evidence so far which tells us that it is very likely that there is no afterlife.
