Why does that even matter, lets say none of them were religious ? They are people whom supposedly were told to love each other by god killing each other at the command of men.
I think that it matters quite a bit, if someone is trying to make it sound like religion is a primary cause for wars.
Yours seems to be a different question, of which I think that the specification of religious may be a bit vague.
