My heart is heavy as I write this. A beloved friend of the family, one whom I've known since I was 14 years old, passed away earlier this evening. He was a year older than me. I dated his older brother when I was a teen.
His name was Jeff and I shared a special connection with him. Like my oldest daughter, he too, had Down syndrome. I am just beside myself. The viewing is on Friday and the funeral is on Saturday. And I can't stop crying.
I'm sorry for your loss Joods, when special people leave us we can't help but to cry, cry on as much as you need to it's good for you. Keep the memories close and he will be with you in a special way, you will keep the best part of him alive in your life.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
