Sometimes we get some very involved philosophy threads going. That stuff often goes over my head though.
You know, some of Western Philosophy is highly abstract which creates a learning/comprehension curve. But the fact is, much of the time the concepts are fairly simple. The real hurdle to overcome is getting your head into that space where you're dealing with pure ideas.
On the other hand, there is a lot of philosophy which isn't abstracted too much: Henry David Thoreau and Friedrich Nietzsche are pretty good reads, even if philosophy isn't your thing. Camus too!
If you ever have trouble following a subject, try asking for some clarification. I've never known a philosopher who was anti-question.
