It's amazing he got away with that shit for so long. Says a lot about the anonymity of the net. OR perhaps has become a lot worse recently. He popped up on almost every forum I've visited. He always ranted about James Randi and Nostradamus.I can't remember him ever making death threats.
This is a mentally unwell person (I do think he's paranoid) If he's making death threats, they must be taken seriously. It's time for his rubber room.Or perhaps bung him on a bus to California where nobody will notice.
Whether he's mentally well or unwell, that is irrelevant as far as his actions which involved making death threats to numerous people, crossing international boundaries under various aliases to intimidate and harass, if not actually carry out those threats. And, all of the effort he went through to methodically identify and stalk his victims. He did it over a LONG period of time. It shows a level of planning and understanding that does not fit with "non compos mentis" which would make him unfit to stand trial. He understood his actions full well, whether or not you or any other reasonable person can understand or appreciate them.
Had he been making threats to another group, such as Christians, he would have been stopped long before now. Had he been making credible threats to government officials, he would have been imprisoned so fast it would have made your head swim.
Putting him on "appropriate medication" - i.e., drugs which have not had their effacacy shown for over 6 weeks, which are similar to "uppers" (Ritalin, Adderal, and other amphetamines), or "downers" (Haldol, Risperdal, Seroquel, and other major tranquilizers - AKA "antipsychotics"), or other street drugs - and many of these have "street value" is not an adequate way of ensuring his actions are not repeated. It would be a way to absolve him for responsibility for his actions.
See _Anatomy of an Epidemic_ by Robert Whitaker to see some of the research done on them, and its results, as opposed to reading ad copy by the makers of such "appropriate medication".

I somehow doubt it... he'll probably end up in an asylum :S
Maybe he'll martyr himself some followers ^_^
They put very few people in asylums anymore - and certainly not ones who are as capable of methodically planning as Mabus.
More likely, they'll put him on some drug or other, and have him come in to be sure he's taking them, and he'll be back doing the same thing....
