I asked several religious people and even the pastor at my church why god would allow such a thing to happen. He said that god works in mysterious ways and he has a plan for each of us. He also said that bad things happen to good people for no reason. I knew that. I didn't need him to tell me that. Then I started reading books by Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens and the rest is history.
