That’s a remarkably overarching and definitive belief considering there is but the very sketchiest and most tenuous of evidences on this topic.
As they say, the scope and firmness of belief is usually inversely proportional to the quality and weight of evidence.

No, they are even more clever and devious than that. They made their interstellar craft completely invisible, but planted paranoia in human minds so humans see interstellar craft everywhere they look.
