As an external observer I'd note with the tens of thousands of schisms already extant in Christianity, a given congregation at some distant remove, even if nominally of the same denomination, is going to be looked at with some suspicion. How could they be 'doing it correctly' if they aren't here, paying attention, and carefully comporting themselves according to the locals entirely correct take on it ??
And vice versa . . . .
