In all likelihood, future "christians" will consider them useful fictions that hint at a greater truth..like any other myth. It's already headed that way.
I like to put the literalist "Christians" in quotes. After all, any dickhead can say, "Yeah, I think Noah's Ark really happened..." I'm just not impressed by that (at all).
Considering Bible stories "useful fictions that hint at a greater truth" would fit quite nicely into Whateverist's list of reasonable Christian beliefs.
