While I'm of the opinion that most domesticated dogs really never would attack, I do feel like extenuating circumstances change everything. If your dog is fucking starving, it might try to take a bite out of you, or someone else. You can't blame the dog. It's hungry. That said, plenty of starving dogs never try to eat anyone, so there is that. I once read a story about a pit bull biting an infant and (yes, this is fucking disgusting), eating its genitals while the parents were in the next room. I wouldn't leave my baby in the room alone with a dog.
