We know that.  Try getting through your thick head that what we are talking about is efficiency.  There is a reason why 2/3 of all homicides involve guns.  Killing people is the one thing they do well.

You know, relating things like bread knives, cutlery, which does have a perfectly good purpose and is designed for eating or some other useful reason with a object designed to fire a projectile to kill is beyond reason.

You are displaying typical theist binary thinking in saying that it's either weapons or not having weapons. Fact is you can kill and wound more people more quickly with an AR 15 than with a hand gun or a bread knife.

Your fact says nothing more than what I already stated in this thread in another post where I agreed. However, The point of my original post wasn’t the number of people a weapon can kill. Simply that even if you took all weapons away people would kill. And it’s highly possible that they could devise methods that would kill more people over time due to stealth. Methods devised due to pressures.

Yes of course people would use other ways to kill,  In the US there has been an average of a school shooting every week so far in 2018

However how can taking away the most deadly and popular method be a bad thing ?  I doubt there would have been 1/10 of the deaths had the person had to actually chase the victims down instead of having a device where you can stand in a doorway trapping people in a room and killing them one by one.

True enough. Knives are 5 times more likely than a gun to be used as the murder weapon. But the Ammophobics will say you cannot do a mass murder with a knife, which is also true. That's why they make rental vans and pressure cookers.

Handguns were by far the most popular murder weapon used in the US in 2016. That year 7,105 people were murdered with handguns. Knives or cutting instruments were the second most popular weapon used, with 1,604 murders committed with a knife.

Knives are too short range and you can defend yourself from them . Were no designed to kill people .

Pressure cookers requires to much prep time to be an effective weapon  is impossible to conceal on your person. And can be a danger to the killer . Need to know how to use it as a weapon effectively .

Vans and cars require a driver license and the ability to drive. prep time and opportunity . You can't really sneak up in a car . And there's a danger to the killer . 

Guns have none of these drawbacks . There easy to use . Easy to conceal . Long range . Hard to defend against . Require little prep . And are ready to use anytime anywhere . And minimally dangerous to the killer. And can be bought by anyone anytime .
