It seems to me that both theocracies and enforced atheism lead to bad results. I'd rather not live in China, the former Soviet Union, Franco's Spain, any Islamic State, etc. for that reason.

That said, the free majority atheist counties seem to be doing just fine.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
