Indeed.... if you are having fruit, eat it as it was intended to be eaten.
The fibre in most fruits helps keeping things flowing inside and less of the sugars are transferred to your blood stream.
Fruits have a special kind of sugar, fructose which - unlike glucose - only gets processed in your liver and the resulting fat is stored close by.
Being processed by the liver means that you can get cirrhosis, the same problem you get by high intake of alcohol (which is also only processed by the liver).
So, basically, eating fructose without the accompanying fruit fibre should be avoided.
Even freshly squeezed fruit juice should be considered a rare treat.
