None of you know a thing.

You know what Atlas: You're right! None of us know a thing when it comes to ultimate questions like our origins or the origins of the universe (multiverse?). Maybe we never will. But you are preaching to the converted here! Most of us believe that already!

We are not claiming to know everything; YOU are! Without any credible evidence, you claim to know the entity who created us and everything else. Is it really any surprise that we view that claim with a very skeptical eye? We've heard the claim before from countless others - and each of their claims is different! What makes you so special?

Who told you that I know?
My own holy book says otherwise:

Sura 19, The Quran:
( 65 )   Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them - so worship Him and have patience for His worship. Do you know of any similarity to Him?"
( 66 )   And the disbeliever says, "When I have died, am I going to be brought forth alive?"
( 67 )   Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing?

Verse 65 ! I don't know anything similar to God; nothing is similar to him:

Sura 42, The Quran:
( 11 )   [He is] Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you from yourselves, mates, and among the cattle, mates; He multiplies you thereby. There is nothing like Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

Nothing like him, so who told you I know?
But my holy book also told me about humans:

Sura 6, The Quran:
( 116 )   And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.

Both of us believe.
An atheist believes in "I'm not sure what's there..probably there's nothing".
I believe "I'm sure something is there but I don't quite know what it is...".

I think verse 116 of Sura 6, exposes the people so sure of themselves riding their high horses.
I mean, why the all the wars and the killing and all the insults ?

Let's wait and see which thought is true.

Most of us are not making any special claim. We merely look at the claims others make and weigh in on them. We favor claims which are backed up by empirical evidence. Some claims like Darwinian evolution are backed up by so much evidence, we accept it as fact. The same with many theories of physics and cosmology.

That is not the impression I get from the majority of people; not just atheists.
Atheism = God doesn't exist to so many; the anti-God posts in here are the best evidence for that !

The smart, evidence favoring mentality is shrinking and shrinking as time goes.

Few of us are making any claims which are not backed up by evidence. Some of us may have our own speculations (as I do) but most of us would not claim these as fact like you and your fellow theists do.

So many do..So many. Look again.
