You countered me with what exactly? Disagreeing with what I said is not a counter, you must present facts that support your point of view.

So you have no way of arguing with the possibility that during the time the German language evolved there may well have been different religions that died out and were replaced with something entirely new, or imported from another country.

I seriously cannot believe that you are demanding that I provide evidence that a language and a god are not the same thing.

Literally no one has equated a language with a god, what I said is that as the language changed so has the name for the gods, hence why Odin is not Odin's original name.
