Well, people who are transphobic are often homophobic but nowadays there are also a lot of people who are totally progressive with homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality and pansexuality.... but when it comes to transexuality and asexuality they suddenly become bigots.
That's another thing, I've noticed a lot of people who are anti-trans also think asexuality is "unatural," in like a necessarily unhealthy way, despite the fact it's perfectly natural and healthy for the asexual in question. It's no more "unatural" than homosexuality, or for that matter, heterosexuality, it's simply less common.
Transpeople get the most bigotry aimed at them out of all groups though. It's insanely common to the point that there's these highly progressive people who are literally bigoted about NOTHING except they don't get trans people. I'd go as far as saying even half otherwise progressive people are transphobic. Transphobia is insanely widespread and I think one of the next steps in fighting against bigotry is to have more consciousness raising about what it's like to be trans.
All homophobes are transphobes but not all transphobes are homophobes, I would say.

I'm glad someone gets it.

You're very welcome.
