Yeah, I think though and I don't mean to be arrogant, but I have heard in Britain and Europe that Arab immigrants are often kind of separate and have their own neighborhoods. I think the melting pot approach where immigrants are integrated (and kind of have to be) is better. But hey I'm in rural America where there are few minorities in general, but that seems to be the case. The UK certainly has a much better health care system and a way better balance of socialism and capitalism.
So I'm not going to wear flannel, stop shaving, and wave a sign that says "We're no.1!" while brandishing a firearm.
I don't know about Arabs. Muslims tend to be Pakistani or Bengali of origin where I live, and they make up the majority of Muslims in the country. Where I live they segregate from each other and other races, mainly in terms of house buying and romantic relations. Pakistani or Bengali people going into each others area or getting involved romantically with each other can be dangerous.
Everyone socializes and works together mostly OK, there just seems to be some vague lines drawn among the main groups when it comes to buying houses and being romantically involved.
I don't know if any segregation or integration is due to any approach from any particular group or individuals, religion and culture seem to be the main factors.
