The vagina is a self-cleansing organ.  Douching would be against medical advice of the scientific consensus, as it kills necessary bacteria responsible for preventing overgrowth and infection.  In summary, women who douche are more likely to have rotten vaginas than women who don’t.  I’m sorry that the public education system has failed you so.

I agree with no douching. However, some gyns are now starting to say not to wash it, either. THAT I think is disgusting. I don't douche, but you better believe I thoroughly clean myself with plenty of soap every day.

It's the soap part that is the potential problem. Between your labia minora you have epidural skin.  It is allergic to soap.
