Instead of answering the question which of course they are unable to answer   they resort to the usual trick which is to pretend that the question was never asked and at the same time ask a question in return.

The dogma that consciousness is a product of the brain is very very easily destroyed.
Even plants do have consciousness yet do not have brain so brain can not possibly give birth to consciousness.
Consciousness therefore is everywhere and it doesn't need a brain to born so to speak.
A brain is needed when more consciousness wish to expand that is why animals and humans have one.

Science already established that plants have consciousness and this consciousness is unstoppable on his way to reach the perfect stage.
