The only problem with fame and trials is that the rich have far more resources to protect themselves.
I could care less if we are talking about Cosby or Clinton or Trump, nor do I care if the charge is rape or murder or speeding. It still remains that the rich even when convicted are punished far less than the middle class or poor.
Martha Stewart did time for a financial crime but if a no name middle class or poor person had done the same, they would have been charged and punished harsher.
Regardless of the nature of a charge, there has to be a statue of limitations on all crimes except murder.
Bill willl get the same celebrity treatment in prison as Bernie Madoff. Trump will if he got the same conviction,
The REAL problem society faces isn't that we cheer for the bad guys. None of us do. But, money talks, and it is easy to say what we would do or not do, but the innocent without the same fame or fortune can and do end up in prison for crimes they did not commit.
