I've talked to G privately and he seems genuinely taken aback by the backlash. I don't think he has any ulterior motives, nor do I think he's here in hopes of conversion.
It seems he came here for the same reason I did - curiosity and just generally wanting to hear about "the other side's" perspective.
When I first joined, many people also thought I was here with ulterior motives, and there were a lot of things I said that were totally taken the wrong way and people thought I was trying to offend or trick when I wasnt. It wasn't fun having to constantly defend myself and my reasons for being here. Seems G is kinda going through the same thing. I say give the guy a chance. He seems genuine and like a nice guy.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
