I'm quite seldom lonely. I don't need people or electronics to keep me entertained...says the guy currently typing on the internet. 
I can be completely unhooked from electronics and enjoy hobbies like wood working where I make something with my machinery and my own two hands without seeing another person for quite awhile. When I worked away from home, I read books, watched more TV than I should (because it was Florida and I don't like the climate) rode my bike and walked for exercise in a climate I didn't like, and did some coppersmithing. That was fun, working on hot projects with the only place to do it being the kitchen stove.
