Death is the beginning

We are not special.

And your god is as phony as all other gods.

The story told has no evidence that it was forged to serve that purpose.
You get it between your hands and then it's a choice of two: believe and buy, disbelieve and refuse.

That did it; finally ? I tried to unlock him weeks ago but I failed a lot !

Depending on the context you give for life

If you do that, then your existence might be regarded with some gratitude after you are no more.  Buy if chose to become besotted by some self-serving bodies of lies and fantasies and devote the time you have trying in vain to make the eternity better for a you that wouldn’t be there, then your existence would instead be a matter of indifference or lament after you are no more.

The quality of this existence can very well be shined and polished through belief in Islam. The decline in quality of today in the life of some Muslims is not due to Islam; but due to many factors that involve deviating from Islam to other lifestyles.

Death was a mere journey that a Muslim should prepare for in advance in this life, coping with the reality of it coming no matter what. I personally think that calling it "eternity" is in itself wrong and I disagree with you.

Absolutely agreed!

Even if the so-called "afterlife" of religion were true and we really did go somewhere else after our heart stopped beating... that just means life continues and that we never really die.

It shouldn't be called "afterlife". It should be called "continuinginanotherformlife" but I get that that's not as catchy.

But God in the Quran did say :

Quote:Sura 29, The Quran:
( 20 )   Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent."

So it is already acknowledged that "the afterlife" is a different creation. IDK what you're trying to say.

Absolutely. Even if the atoms which made up your body and your consciousness eventually reassembled into another conscious being trillions of years later (or however long it would take, my guess is given an infinite period of time there's a non-zero chance of that happening) in the same way that DNA came out of non-biological life... whatever lifeform that was made of your atoms that eventually became conscious... it wouldn't be you.

In the same way that I am of the opinion that if I did have past lives... they weren't me and they weren't my past lives. It would be incorrect to say that I had a past life.

In fact, even if our consciousness never truly 100% died it would still become damaged to such a low level of consciousness that it was no longer us any more than a so-called past life would be if it re-emerged later.

This is why philosophical theories of personal identity are important!

Being a God that is "capable of anything", he is capable of gathering our atoms back.
Your opinion reminds me with this verse:

Quote:Sura 23, The Quran:
(82 )   They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

( 83 )   We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples."
