I think it has pretty much turned into progressives and regressives these days.

And if Tumblr is any indication, the left's identity politics are reaching the point mixing the loves of the progressive with the alarmism and reactionary attitude of the regressive, likely feeding the literal Nazis who have infiltrated the Republican Party (until recently, it was just people who had alarmingly similar views to Nazis, but with Trump, we now have the original flavour wholeheartedly supporting the Republican party). I'm just waiting for the day where someone advocates putting safe spaces for minorities at the back of the buses.

Then again, the Tumblr generation has yet to really take over the Democratic Party like 4chan did the Republican party. But maybe if they just keep pushing the Manichean "Power Plus Prejudice" Paradigm, we'll see the day where the American political system becomes completely irredeemable and everyone has become their own private ISeS (That would be the plural for ISIS, right?)
