Note: You don't have to hold a stance either way to debate a topic, I did a presentation with a Devil's advocate that went against everything I believe in as a Muslim, but never the less, made the case for it. And I got a good mark for it!

The motif of seeing the future is not an invention of Islam, or Christianity or Jews. The motif of seeing the future predates all  three of those religions. It is all nonsense no matter who is claiming it.
