In a time of instant information, today's younger generation can't be bothered to waste time actually looking stuff up. They rather ask someone who might have that knowledge at the ready.
It's better that way anyway. Being on a forum is all about being social, learning new things, cutting your teeth on new stuff, and expressing yourself. Having a ready list of things as a way to discourage newbs from asking and doing is really not what you should be aiming for anyway.
Rob's site has really short and right on point essentials. Would be awesome if new people could see them and then ask.
