RE: Intelligence is a Curse

It's not about giving in, or agreeing with us Salty. The stories in the bible are demonstrably false. This is not an opinion. If your faith relies upon you believing such absurdities what sort of faith is that? You're a mark for con-men. They sell books, they run churches, in fact there isn't any area of life where some unscrupulous someone isn't willing to take advantage of you. You keep making references to death as if it had any bearing on truth whatsoever. It does not. What people ask at a funeral has nothing to do with the age of the earth. No one asks how their burger got on their plate either. Maybe it was miracled there? Do the things that people don't ask about their burgers hold some deep and hidden wisdom about life, the cosmos and everything? I hardly think so.
Remember, each time you post, it isn't the power of christ that sends the message through the internet. Might want to show just a tad more interest in the things you avail yourself of so thoughtlessly.

I truly truly hope that you find a real career, some nice man, or a hobby, anything to prevent you from becoming a missionary. The thought of you perpetuating the cycle of bigotry and manipulative, ignorant superstition is more than I can handle.
(btw, Jesus was into thought crimes, and not for your pansy ass reason. He made it very clear that even thinking about sin was committing sin. You didn't have to act on it at all. Well, fuck anybody who goes down that road)
