On that score, as I was observing last night, he hasn't been any more effective a leader than Obama was, being unable to get his political ideas enshrined in law, aside from the tax cut. All his major accomplishments have been through appointment or a stroke of the pen. That will have a lasting effect with respect to the supreme court. All the rest of it will go away in time, as him and conservatives of his ilk are replaced by other leaders who aren't so inept at leading and can get their politics reflected in law.
UGGGG...... He is the apex of the GOP, but the GOP set him up for decades.
If you can't win on economics, use social issues to divide so that poor and middle class rural whites vilify urban blacks.
It LITERALLY IS the old Daffy Duck cartoon where he pits Foghorn against the beagle and sells boobie traps to both and says, "You better watch out for the other guy".
IT IS ULTIMATELY ABOUT MONEY, and the rich and the right have FOR DECADES used race and social issues to divide the races and the middle class and poor against each other TO PROTECT BILLIONAIRE TAX BREAKS.
The GOP long before Trump ran, has created needless problems, fucked over even their own supporters in favor of billionaires and then offered themselves up as the solution for a needless problem they created.
