Allowing evil in the world is allowed for the Creator while he works with his system to overcome evil and eradicate it.
Humans are not allowed to stand by evil if they can change it, humans who do so per Quran are attributed that evil, as is God, but in the case of God he has benevolent over all wise reasons to do so.
Part of that design by Creator is that humans been entrusted to fight off evil and alleviate suffering.
He allows evil just to give himself an opportunity to smite it, and get praise for it. That doesn't put him in a good light. Like a guy who allows someone to set a building on fire (or sets it on fire himself), so he can save the people inside.
There is a beauty in learning to trust God in facing evil and dark magic, and there is an overwhelming strong bond that happens between a human overwhelmed by darkness but then praying to God and relying on his rope to find the way out. That and his chosen guides, their is a connection and bond that happens through them, that is worth this whole ordeal.
But the reason evil is here is because God is the foremost instance of a believer, and when Iblis challenged regarding us and our way of misguidance, it didn't befit God to disbelieve in our capability either individually or as a people. He believed in us but we have proven the opposite of the faith he placed in us.
What has happened, may seem to be inevitable due to our "human nature", but the Quran shows, is anything but that, but that as a race, we were over all defeated despite the probability was that we would be successful.
And certainly Adam who was a chosen image of God and name of God and anointed King and a Prophet, was not expected to fall. He was expected and all were expecting him to not eat of the tree.
What has happened is that a very unlikely scenario. Diseases and illness were meant to be gone by now as well.
It is what is, but it was never probable. This is one of the highly unlikely scenarios but it has come about.
The worse of what God saw as possible outcomes and one of the most unlikely scenarios, has taken place.
What are we to do now? We are to turn this worse case scenario and settling for it, and instead do our best to hasten the victory where God and his appointed King will rule the world and bring about justice and the balance and compassion and love we are always meant to have.
