My pro-tips for operating on this forum, OP. First is to accurately use the quotation function. I can see you’re able to edit posts quite easily, and indeed utilise common forum languages and shorthand (OP is an example), so I’m not sure why you’re unable to use this when the BB code is actually very simple and user friendly.

Not doing this is both frustrating for other members who are trying to communicate with you (responding without quoting will not alert them, and if you start cutting and moving text and not adding in additional quotation tags it stymies the flow of your post at best and makes it unreadable at worst) and, to be frank, draws suspicion.

In addition, I’m not here to tell people how to write their posts, but from my long experience moderating and posting on a wide number of forums, people who refer to themselves in the 3rd person, and write in an overly verbose and tangential fashion, are often not genuine in their attempts at discourse. Again, I’m not here to tell you how to write, but the reaction you will (continue) to get from posters is one of frustration and annoyance as people will find it very difficult to decipher what it is you’re trying to say (and that’s not due to a lack of comepetencies on their part, many of our members are very well read in a wide variety of disciplines as you’ll see from perusing previous threads). People want to talk to other members, but if it feels like they’re having a conversation with a poorly programmed chat bot, they’ll soon lose interest.

Those are my pro tips - take them or leave them.

OP can mean original post or original poster. So they’re either referring to your first post or to you specifically.

ejmay, You are absolutely correct, I forgot to deselect, even after you just now have cautioned me.  Let me tell you something which may help members to understand a bit more about all these mistakes.  I live in an intensely agricultural remote area in Kentucky, USA.  I put a little Ivory tower at the very top of a tall hill which I own, and, on July 16, I was up there, reading, writing, and just hanging-out, when, one of these enormous oversize tractors came within just a few feet of my building, spraying what I thought to be fertilizer, however, it turned out to be Roundup.  Roundup is a horrid cocktail of multiple poisons.  The precipitate overspray burned my lungs, and made them sore, however, I noticed immediately that it spaced-me-out, slowed my mental responses, hurt my cognitive function; now, some time later, my lungs are not burning, the coughing is clearing up, however, I am still somewhat, a little, spaced-out, and, being tired, from all the stress joining this forum has induced, I am making mistakes, very sorry, I do apologize, and, I so do appreciate your noble assistance, emjay, you are a deeply good human being. It looks like you've forgotten again You need to do it before you post your next post... we just need to see if that solves the problem before we can move on. If not for the people, think of the database ie it's absolutely filled at the moment with redundant posts because of this thread, and every single time you post again, you're adding to that redundancy and quoting (and thus alerting) more people than you need to, so it's getting annoying for them.

emjay, I am clicking on the Reply link, I am not using Quick Reply, or Quote, which is where one has to Deselect, so you are saying I just, again, sent out multiple replies, when I replied to mh.brewer just now ?  This is so insanely weird and unwarrantedly complex that I am thinking the infinite, unfathomably complex process involved in Reply, will kill what I, in spite of ignorance of the infinite considerations attendant upon struggling with  the site's AI, have actually accomplished, in having recently become a Junior Member ! I do not see a deselect option in Replying, only in Quote and Quick Replying, I think... Then, the AI is continually incorrectly changing one's spelling, further impeding the communicative quality of one's posts. Negatio.
