Guess what I found while cleaning out my old office? Yup, more dog pictures. I can now post a pic of every dog I've had, which might also just barely fit under the number limit for photos. Let's try:
First up: Bunny, a puppy born right around 1970 of my families ugly cur and my older brother's butt ugly mutt, making her a pure bred mongrel. My best guess: terrier and spaniel with a dash of almost everything else. She weighted 12 pounds.

Second: Sandy, adopted in 1979 as a somewhat older dog. She was a Collie/German Shepherd cross. Sweet with people, submissive to even the smallest of bully dogs, but death to cats. She died at 12 of kidney failure.

Third: Daisy bought her as a young pup out of a newspaper add when both Sandy and Lia's elkhound were close to dying. She is, you guessed it, a dalmatian. Unfortunately for her, this would have been in the early/mid 80's when I was busy with finishing college, work and helping to raise my stepson.

Fourth: Sophie, a Golden retriever/Lab cross I found as a young pup in a newspaper ad. I've shown photos of her as an older dog. This is her as a puppy on her first camping trip to Arizona in 1995.

Fifth: Fletcher, my first herding dog, a pure bred blue merle Australian Shepherd, came to us on September 18, 2002 at about 4 years of age when Lia's uncle Stew died. He lived another ten years with us.

Sixth: Heidi Rose, came to us as a young dog from a rescue in the Siera foothills just over a year old in October of 2010 and is still doing fine. She is probably an Australian Shepherd/Cattle dog cross with perhaps hints of German Shepherd as well. She is the one with different colored eyes.

Seventh: Smokey, a deliberate cross of an Australian Shepherd and Cattle dog purchased from a breeder in Colorado three years ago. This one was taken a year ago when he was two.
