It is at its core a belligerent, domineering religion.   Pacifism isn’t its goal, but merely one of the many means that it carefully made certain to coopt for use when circumstances calls for in pursuit of its own aggrandizement.   It would just quickly and easily as it teaches the turning of other cheek switch to being amongst the most sadistically murderous  advocate of savage force and brutal violence when circumstances seemed to it to call for that in purpsuit if it’s own domineering agenda.
