With the resurgence of puppet ethnic-nationalism in the West, the decline of stabilizing international institutions that give stake to second and third rate powers, I think the post WWII international collaboration, the important-thing-is-the-pie-gets-bigger, era that served as the inspiration of liberal world order is coming to an end, and a new who-cares-if-the-pie-is-smaller-so-long-as-my-slice-looks-bigger-relative-to-my-neighbor’s era of neighbor buggery is dawning.

I don’t think it is at all unlikely the Christian world is headed back to an era of rampant fratricide on a 25-50 year time scale, especially in numerically dominant poor parts of Africa and South America.
