Folks, get ready. Although the weather kinda sucks here now, I just came back from the LAS monthly meeting, where I was given the opportunity to borrow the society's solar telescope. I just got it mounted onto my telescope (I was very happy to see that it bolted right up with no problems), and hope to take some high resolution images and time lapsed video of various solar phenomenon (such as prominances, sunspots, flares, etc). Now all I need is clear skies! Wish me luck.

I can't guarantee that mine will turn out this well (the guy who took this one - Larry Alverez - is considered a god of sorts in solar photography circles), but I'm going to give it my best shot.
