Well we generally share definitions and if we ever misunderstand each other hopefully we will resolve that misunderstanding.

But what I said above seems pretty straight forward to me: "I think beauty is beautiful simply because it is so to the evolved observer."
I think you bolded the wrong part really - that's why it's not circular. My point is that it is entirely subjective to the evolved observer. And the keyword there is EVOLVED. Why are some things more beautiful than others? Because that was, at least on average, best for the genes. That is why they have survived. It's because of evolution basically. Genetics - and also with environmental influences.
