Defensive anyone? Kavanaugh sounds scared!

As I've discussed in the other thread, Democratic candidate to the Minneota attorney general race faces a similar situation to Kavanaugh, in that last minute allegations threaten to derail their elevation to office or the court.  Ellison has called for an investigation into the allegations against him.  Kavanaugh refuses to call for an investigation.  There is no comparison between the way Democrats and Republicans respond to allegations.  The Democrats call for a process to get to the bottom of the allegations, the Republicans do everything they can to sweep the allegations under the rug.

The Democrats may have or may not have manipulated the process.  The Republicans are transparently manipulating the process.  There is no comparison between a suspicion that the process might have been manipulated, and the blunt and obvious manipulation by the Republicans.

Kavanaugh is being rushed in, and that's clearly political maneuvering on part of the Republicans. If the Democrats have done maneuvering, its in response to this rushed process.

Ellison has called for an investigation into the allegations against him.

Another (major) difference is that Ellison is running for a term as attorney general... not a lifetime appointment to the SCOTUS.
