It would add credence to their conspiracy theory, strengthen their chances in the midterms, and give them their majority vote in the SCOTUS.
Instead, they're clinging to Kavanaugh like he's the only possible candidate they can choose, which is just baffling.
Of course, it won't matter. Modern GOP supporters appreciate bluster and 'powerful displays' like Kavanaugh's tantrum over intelligence and character. Rubes, one and all.
They’re running out of time before the mid terms, and they wasted a week or more doubling down.
